The biggest obstacle standing in the way of your success is FEAR. Everybody has a fear. The trick is to identify the fear, embrace the fear, feel the emotion and then go ahead and complete the task you set out to accomplish.
One of my greatest teachers taught me: Feel the fear and do it anyway.
Feel what ever emotion is present (fear, sadness, grief, scared) and then go ahead and do it anyway.
Any time you strive for something big and important, fear is a natural response. If you find it difficult to take the action steps you know you want to do, you may have some fears that are getting in the way.
Here are a list of some common fears:
If you let it, fear can be paralyzing. Lets show you how to work with your own fears. The aim isn’t to eradicate fear completely because that is not possible. What we want to do is to recognise the fear when it is operating and minimise the impact.
If you encounter resistance with your action steps, look inward to see if any of these fears are present.
Think about it for a few minutes. Then let it go and shift your focus to something else. Exercise also helps you move through fear and think more clearly. A gratitude list helps you stay focused on what is working and going well.
Don’t stuff the fear, recognise it, feel it, embrace it and then go ahead and do it anyway. The more you practice this, the quicker you will be able to move through fear. Instead of days of procrastination due to fear, you will move through the fear in minutes.
